Strawberry season is coming very soon! Yay!! I love strawberries. I used to spend so much time at the pick-your-own farms. Between my daughter and myself, I’m sure that we ate far more strawberries right there in the fields than we brought home.
I used to also spend hours cooking my strawberry jam. June/July when strawberries are in season, is not the best time to be standing over a hot stove cooking jam.
This recipe is just way too easy! It can be done with fresh or frozen strawberries. It can also be done in larger batches and frozen. Either way, there is no more standing over the stove on a hot summer day!! It leaves far more time for enjoying the beautiful weather!
Simple 3 Ingredient Strawberry Jam (Paleo/ Vegan/ Gluten Free/ Raw/ Refined Sugar Free)
1 c. strawberries- washed and hulled (fresh or frozen**)
1 Tbsp. chia seeds
1-2 Tbsp. maple syrup or raw honey if not vegan
Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Pulse until you get your desired texture. Pour into a jar and keep in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. You can also freeze jam.
** If using frozen strawberries you will want to let them sit out of the freezer for about ten minutes.

I have never tried jam, always been too scared. This looks quite simple though so may be brave enough to give it a go
I used to make cooked jam. This is so much easier and much less time consuming. Don’t be scared.
I was blown away by how easy strawberry jam was the first time I tried it. Thanks for posting. Hello from Fat Tuesday.
Thanks Melissa!
Oh wow that is easy! I’ve only made plum jam never strawberry, and to adapt I think I’d need to stew the plums for a bit to get them soft! So easy #tastytuesdays
Wow! This looks so simple! and delicious 🙂
It’s the quickest one I’ve ever done.
Such a healthy sounding jam! Perfect timing for strawberry season =)
Thanks Kimmy!
I have always wanted to try a jam recipe but it all seems like such a process. This… This is do-able. Yay. Thanks for this great post. I am gonna try it for sure
Let me know what you think!
I LOVE this idea! We make strawberry jam using honey and fruit pectin, but chia seeds are such a simple way to thicken the jam.
Thanks for sharing with Waste Not Want Not Wednesday!
Yes, I used to cook it and add tons of sugar. This is far easier and healthier 🙂
Just bought a flat of strawberries to make strawberry jam. I noticed this jam keeps in fridge for two weeks…can i freeze this jam so it lasts longer?
Sophie
Hi Sophie, I have not frozen any as of yet but I plan to. I plan on making it as the recipe states and freezing it. The only possible problem that I see that it might be a little thinner that the original. Then I would just suggest adding a little more chia seeds.
Thanks for sharing this recipe with us at Savoring Saturdays! It’s by far the easiest jam recipe I’ve seen. Have a great week!
Thanks Danielle!
If I could ever get strawberries to stick around long enough to make jam, this would be on my to-do list. It sounds delicious! 🙂
Thanks Raia!
