I’ve been playing with Paleo baking much more these days. I have also been trying to make more nut free recipes as there are so many people that can’t have nuts. These biscuits are so easy to make and delicious! Great to add strawberry jam onto.
Paleo Biscuits (Gluten Free/ Vegan/ Dairy Free/ Nut Free)
1/3 c. tapioca starch
1/3 c. coconut flour
1/3 c. ground flax
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. sea salt
3 Tbsp. coconut oil (or butter if not vegan and dairy is tolerated)
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2/3 c. milk alternative
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Whisk together tapioca starch, coconut flour, flax, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix in coconut oil. Stir in lemon juice and milk. Scoop onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 17-18 minutes. Makes 6.

Thanks Vicki!
These look really tasty as well as being healthy. Must try them for my son
My grandkids love them!
These sound great! I’m all over the gluten-free stuff =) I haven’t had much luck with coconut flour, but I may as well give it another shot.
I haven’t had a whole lot of luck with it either, but I keep playing around with it. The coconut flour worked great in this recipe. I can’t get enough of these biscuits! I keep making a new batch every week so that I can put my strawberry jam on them 🙂
These are being featured at HVF this week! Thanks for sharing. I’m pinning these biscuits =)
Just got home from camping. Thanks for the feature!
Yum! Just need to find our where to buy some of the ingredients as they wouldn’t be in my local supermarket.
Health food store work great.
Great recipe! When I can add tapioca back into my diet I will be making them. They look like scones in the UK!
Yes they look like my scones as well, but plain. 🙂
I’m going to have to give these a try, just as soon as I find tapioca starch! Thanks for the recipe.
Thanks Ginny! You could substitute arrowroot starch or corn starch but then it’s not paleo.
I have been experimenting with tapioca lately and I am LOVING IT! SO I know I would loveeeee these biscuits 😀
Thanks GiGi! Let me know what you think of them!
These look so simple, and so much more healthy than most biscuit recipes.
Thanks for sharing on Waste Not Want not Wednesday!
Thanks Elise!
These look wonderful and so easy! Thanks for sharing them on WNWNW, Sandi, I’m featuring them this week 🙂
Just got home from camping. Thanks for the feature!
I love that these are paleo AND nut-free! Great recipe, Sandi! I’m going to be featuring it at this weekend’s Savoring Saturdays – hope to see you there!
Just got home from camping. Thanks for the feature!
I made these this morning and they are delicious… and so easy…much better than the coconut flour biscuits I came up with on my own. I can’t have lemon so I used coconut yogurt and it worked fine.
I like these as much as my almond flour and cashew flour biscuits and these are more budget friendly.
Thank you for sharing!
I’m so glad that you like them June!
