A Very Different Holiday Season and Meals To Go With It

This year has definitely been a year that we are not soon going to forget. No matter where you are in the world, 2020 has been something that I’m sure most of us will remember. The year of Covid, masks, zoom meetings, staying home and most sadly a year of not being with all the ones we love.

I am sure that most of us will be happy to kick 2020 to the curb, but really has it all been bad? Not everything about this year has been awful. People have had to slow down and take stock of what they have. More families have spent meals together around the table, instead of running from one activity to the other. We have appreciated those closest to us, as well as the nature around us.

With people having their own beliefs we need to rely each other as well as, on a higher power to get us through. Whether you believe in God as I do or not, please know that he is always with us no matter what we are going through.

Celebrating Differently

No matter what your beliefs are we will be celebrating the holiday season quite differently this year. Gone are the huge family gatherings and the big office parties. Instead, this will be a year of small gatherings as well as zoom gatherings. Whatever it may be, make it memorable. Here are some delightful meal choices to get you through!

So even if you only have two people getting together over the holidays, you can still have wonderful food! Food is something that always brings people together, even if it on zoom. You can even make a plate of cookies for your neighbour that is all alone. Yes you need to stay socially distant and yet can be emotionally closer. I hope you enjoy some of these delicious meals ideas!

From my house to yours, have a very Merry Christmas and still a joyful holiday season!
